To decrease the amount of interruptions in your classroom, use a class signal for each need a child may have. Instead of a child raising their hand and disrupting the class, my students have shown me our class signals and with a simple head nod, their need is answered. Use a file folder to put the cover and answer key in. Write the 14 sentences on sentence strips, laminate, cut and place in separate bags or choose to use the ones I made. I labeled each bag with the # sentence and wrote the numbers on the corner of each word so that the kids won’t get confused. I used it on a pocket chart or at the children’s tables, both worked great!
