In this download, you will recieve a zipped file containing 2 files, one file is the set of lesson plans that I have written for teaching rounding. These include day to day descriptions of lessons and activities, including what attachments you will need for those days. The second file is a PDF document that contains ALL of the attachments you will need for 8 days of instruction. This meets standard 3.NBT1
Use place value understanding to round whole numbers to
the nearest 10 or 100.
Included attachments:
Number Line Strips- Two pages of strips for students to cut apart and build their own number line for use in rounding. A page for rounding to tens, and a page for rounding to hundreds.
Roll and Round Game- You get double copies of this game, one for tens and one for hundreds.
Shopping A-Round Partner Activity- Students use cards with shopping scenarios to practice skill of rounding. Also included are shopping cards and money cards for this game.
Rounding Gallery Walk- You get the recording sheet and number cards for posting around the classroom. The gallery walk is explained in the lesson plans.
Working with Word Problems- A page with ten word problems that require rounding skills to solve.
Assessment- 2 Page assessment including word problems, simple rounding of numbers, and a writing component.
