Description
This is a three part lesson that corresponds to the Character PowerPoint. The first part of the lesson (8 slides) discusses decision making and making the right decisions based on values. External influences on decisions are discussed and various decision making models. This PowerPoint discusses six steps of decision making which include, stating the problem, identifying alternatives, evaluating alternatives, making a decision, implementing the decision (action) and evaluating the decision. Part two (7slides) discusses goal setting and why individuals should set goals. Short and long term goals are discussed and five steps to goal setting via MindTools.com are identified. The last part (7 slides) of the PowerPoint presentation discusses character. It defines character and identifies various character traits that are important to possess in life. Life experiences and role models are discussed because of how they shape a person’s character. The worksheets that correspond to the PowerPoint include fill in the blank note taking as well as writing sentences. Also included are questions students must answer while viewing the PowerPoint. These can be used to check for comprehension of the material or answers can be written on paper as a participation grade. Also included on the notes pages are some enrichment or thought-provoking questions that students can utilize to enhance writing practices or for discussion in class.

I like this - I just wish it came with the powerpoint instead of purchasing separately.
