Project Objective: Students will “adopt” a shelf in the library and take responsibility for the organization and appearance of the shelf for the school year.
This PowerPoint is designed to help you introduce an Adopt-a-Shelf program in your library. Adopting shelves instills a sense of individual responsibility in students and increases their sense of ownership of the library. They will take pride in their shelves, choose books to display for their peers, and help you keep the library shelves organized and well-maintained!
