This is a lab sheet I created for use in my 3rd grade classroom. Students are asked to bring in a rock and complete this sheet while observing the physical attributes of their rock. Students have to describe the color, hardness, measurements, shape, and texture of the rock. Also, they must draw and color a picture of their rock. This activity meets the third grade Georgia Performance (GPS) standards for science.
