This a quick and easy way to communicate with parents each day. It is also a good math activity for the calendar. It can be adapted for most K-5 classrooms. It has worked great in my primary classroom for 13 years! Simply tailor any calendar to your classroom by adding birthdays, early release dates, holidays, etc. To communicate, I simply add a stamp to the block to signal a good day or if needed I write a small note in the block to alert parents to problems from that day. i.e.-- Out of seat all day. Talking. Not working today! I have added snack turns for my kindergarten class also.

There are no actual calendars attached because I make mine very class specific.
