Overview of the lesson: The teacher read the book The Button Box by Margaret S. Reid. Then as a class they will make a list of how we might describe various buttons. The teacher will define the term attribute. The students will sort buttons by attributes as a group and then individually using their button sorting mats. They will then graph one of their sorts.

I am a 1st grade teacher in a public elementary school and I love my job. I love the age and I love creating new things for my students.
