Description
Directions:
At the beginning of the month, post the first pattern piece and just talk about what the students notice. On day 2, add the second piece and discuss what has changed. Do this again for the next couple of days until the students start to notice a pattern emerging. For each additional day after that, allow the students time to predict how a pattern piece will appear before showing it to the students. List ideas for the pattern predictions on chart paper, and as a pattern is proven or disprove, record this on the chart. At the end of the month, you can quiz students on some of the skills from the pattern, such as square numbers, multiple of number, and prime\composite numbers
