This story problem letter from math class is a perfect choice when using my Close Reading in Math for any Story Problem organizers. Add a little fun and humor to your math class with this challenge in a series of monthly problem solving experiences for third, fourth, and fifth graders to meet the Common Core Standards for Eight Mathematical Practices. In this challenge, CeeCee asks students to solve a problem from her classroom involving area and perimeter. Less colorful pages are also included with this product for those who would prefer not to print in color. Also included: a rubric for student responses, a solution page, and an individual student checklist for the eight mathematical practices.
