After attending a Common Core Math workshop, I had to return to my grade level and teach them about the changes to our math curriculum. As a thank you, I made each teacher a Common Core Math Practice Standards display for her classroom. My colleagues loved it! Thank you for explaining the standards in kid-friendly language. Our students love it too and are referring to it often!

This is my 9th year teaching; my 8th in first grade. I love teaching children at this age. They are excited to learn and love school! In first grade children make progress so quickly and you can really see them learning new things. I love to see the light come on in their eyes when they are catching on to something new- so rewarding!
