About the store
I have been a classroom teacher for 20+ years working with kids from all backgrounds. I have also been an elementary science specialist, teaching science to students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. Additionally, I have had the pleasure of planning the opening of two different schools. My wife, with whom I create projects with, is a teacher-librarian in a neighboring school district. Together, we have worked for City University with students getting their MA in Ed, decorated classrooms for many years, and created many teaching activities together.

DNA-GO: A Science game - for getting to know you or kicking off DNA units
DNA-GO is the fun getting to know you activity that will have your students learning about their classmates, and genetics at the same time!!! Students fill out their DNA-GO boards using a list of genetic traits, and then search their classroom friends for those traits. Who has a taco tongue? Who has blue eyes? Teaching style
I like to refer to my classroom as a "learning laboratory", a title given to my classroom by a former superintendent. I believe that students can accomplish great things if given the structures and supports necessary.

I have won numerous grants including multiple NCTM and NSTA grants as well as NEA Innovation grants.
I am a Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching winner.
I have presented to teachers across the United States on topics of math and science education.
