This PowerPoint is designed for a 30-45 minute writing block. The objective of this activity is to use colorful words to write a recipe for a perfect Valentines Day. The PowerPoint takes you to www.kraft.com to view and discuss what aids are used to organize recipes. (ingredients, directions, numbered steps, diagrams, illustrations, etc) Then students will brainstorm colorful words used in recipes then write their own recipe. This activity can be done in their writing journals or you can download my printable.
