Description
In this lesson students will learn how to read like writers as they discover Cynthia Rylant's writing craft and ways with words in the book, In November. After reading this book, students will brainstorm their own ideas for writing in a fashion similar to Rylant's style. Students will then go through the writing process as they write their own vignettes for any month of the year. This lesson plan includes correlations to CCSS, objectives, writing frames for each month of the year, and a step-by-step guide through this lesson.
