This is a zip folder with eight posters showing the Envision Math method of using bar diagrams to solve word problems. These work great to help students determine which operation is needed to solve the problem. You will have a poster for each of the following methods:

Initial Amount Unknown
Total Amount Unknown
Amount per Group Unknown
Number of Groups Unknown

There are also 2 posters (one for the addition and subtraction methods and one for the multiplication and division methods) that have the sections of the diagrams labeled.
8 posters in all! They are black and white.I printed them on colored card stock.
Hmm, I have heard of Singapore math but not this exact approach. They use the same method as our new Math program, Envision. These posters were created to use as visuals for how Envision requires us to teach problem solving and determine which operation to use. However,I have also seen a similar method to this being used in Everyday Math. I guess it is more of a universal approach as opposed to one set program.
