Description

This 72 page FROg theme unit will help your students go "toadily" crazy about frogs. There are 10 math activities and 9 literacy activities.
MATH
1.Frogs by Five: Counting by 5's
2.Frog Tally: Counting and tally marks
3.Feeding Frogs Gretaer and Lesser Than
4.Froggy Measurement:Non-standard measuirng
5.Part-Part- Gribbit: Use the frog mat to figure out each addition problem.
6.Frog Frenzy: sequential number order 7.Gribbit Graph: make a prediction, spin the spinner to tally and graph their results. 8.Leap Frog:They will count and record the numbers onto the recording sheet. Reinforcing ways to make 10.
9.Toadily Ten: Counting by 10's
10.Frog Time: Hour and Half Hour
LITERACY:
1.Swamp Sounds Students will say word in picture and stamp the ending sound they hear.
2.Frog Fun:Students will pick a card- think about word and picture. They will write a sentence using both the word and the picture.
3.Lily Pad Blends: Students will match the frogs to the correct lily pad. Then color the frog to match and write the blend on the lily pad.
4.Funny Frogs: Students will pick a card sound out the word and decide if it is a real word or a nonsense word.
5.Froggy Detectives:Students will pick a card and listen for the beginning sound of each picture to figure out the mystery word.
6.Final Frogs: Students will pick a card, say the picture on the card, and write the ending sound and color the frog to match.
7.Swamp Stamp: Students will pick up card, say C-V-C word on card and "stamp" the vowel sound they hear. They will color the frog to match.
8.Ribbit Ribbit Decode: Students will pick a card, Say the picture on the card, listen for the sounds and write the words.
9.Gribbit Gribbit Oops. The pictures on this worksheet have the wrong middle sound (vowel) Students need to say the picture and stamp/write in the correct middle (vowel) sound.
