Lesson Plan: Geometry City Creative Project Activity and Worksheets
Common Core Math Standards: Geometry, Mathematical Processes

This zipped file contains 11 total documents (21 pages in all). This Geometry City activity is sure to be a hit with students. Students will become construction companies and will be asked to design a city based on geometric concepts.

Included in the file is:
-A student introduction and company page that each group will fill out
-A rubric page on how they will be assessed
-A vocabulary geometry journal and answer key for the students and teacher to use
-Two game activities to help with vocabulary

On the city project you mentioned that the area is the same as two tag boards, is that the same as two poster boards put together or is it smaller?

What is the list of criteria that has to be in the city (ex: right angle, cone, parallel lines, etc)? I'm trying to see if they go with my state standards. Thanks
