Description
This activity focues on students discovering triangles by their angles and by their sides. This grid will allow students to explore the differences and similiarities between the trianges and create triangles by both their sides and angles. In the process of self-discovery, students may be surprised to learn that some triangles are impossible to make, such as a right equilateral or an obtuse equilateral triangle. Materials needed: Making Triangles grid, ruler, an (optional) protractor. I require my students to use a protractor but, it is not necessary for the activity.
