Description
This document presents individual essay prompts for over four hundred fiction and non-fiction books, spanning the pop fiction of Nicholas Sparks and Tom Clancy to the classic literature of Virgil and Charles Dickens. The essay prompts were developed over six years of the Individual Reading Assignment, each prompt being custom-designed to an individual student's reading project.
The prompts are intended to lead to an in-class essay in a traditional 40-50 minute class period. They can, however, form the basis of a variety of different writing and discussion assignments.
