About the store
I come from a family of educators and am married to an educator. You could say I was born to be a teacher. Also, I am the very proud mother of four "children", ages 18-24, and my husband and I will become empty-nesters in another month. Yikes! I consider myself to be a life-long learner and my varied teaching experiences are proof of that! I have been teaching for 27 years, teaching grades 3, 4, & 5 self-contained, Gifted grades 1-6, was a Technology Specialist/Integrated Technology teacher for grades 1-6, and was a Teacher Technology Integrator at the district. Four years ago my principal asked me to go from fifth grade to teach kindergarten since I had Early Childhood Certification. It was one of the greatest moves I've ever made! I LOVE my little ones!

Now & Then: How the Fifties Compares with Today
This file contains headings for a Venn Diagram:
"Then", "Now", and "Both", and photographs of inventions from the 50's and today. Laminate the photos and use on a Venn Diagram to compare the two decades. Please do not redistribute this file in any form.

Number Recognition Game: 0-10 Monkey Theme
This is an "I Have...Who Has..."game for recognizing numbers 0-10 with a monkey theme. It's a great game for the beginning of the year to get your little kinders reviewing or learning their numbers!
Pass out one card to each child and start with the number 0. For your students who know their numbers to 10, you might consider purchasing one of my number games with numbers that go past 10!

Chasing the Gold
This is a math game I designed for my class to practice number recognition using numerals, ten frames, and money. Directions for several games are included. Game 1: Students will use a deck of cards and a coloring mat to "chase the gold" at the end of the rainbow. Students must identify the quantity on the card, then color in the coin that has that quantity on it on the rainbow. When all coins of been colored in, the student "wins" the pot of gold.
