Introduce the difficult concept of division to your students in a way that relates to their lives. This activity activates students background knowledge, and provides real-life examples that teachers can use as model problems to work through together in class. To make the activity fun, I switch the names in the story problems to students in my class. There are five problems for the students to solve.
