An excellent assignment to get students working on close, detailed study of the text of Macbeth.
This "weekend paper" is intended to be completed over a weekend (thus the name). It helps prepare students for the IBO's Individual Oral Commentary and/or Paper 1, each of which require detailed reading/analysis skills.
I am uploading this as a Word document rather than a PDF so that you can adjust it to your liking.
Includes: directions, IB commentary-writing tips, scoring rubric, example first page (typing directions)
Does not include: passages/excerpts from Macbeth (you will have to choose and supply those passages for your students)
Does not HAVE to be used with IB students. Could be easily adjusted for AP, honors, or other student groups.
