Description

Print, laminate and cut out each sorting mat and the attached buttons. Students will find the corresponding buttons that belong in each group and place them in the correct category box.

Students will sort buttons in 4 ways:
By shape, size, color and the number of holes. Each of the 4 categoires contains 2 mats, so there is a total of 8 mats in this set. Each sorting mat contains the title (words) and an example (picture) of what the child is supposed to sort by.

You may print these in color and use them in a center or you could make copies and have your students complete them on their own as a worksheet.

I hope you enjoy this activity!

quick set up for this activity. I like the option of the printable buttons if you don't have any real ones available.
