Math Intervention: Our CCSS aligned math intervention unit provides 14-20 days worth of differentiated problem-solving activities to give students the strategies they need to solve word problems. Perfect for general education, special education, RTI and math intervention! Can be used with students in grades K-3.
Max Modeling Mouse is one of the math strategy animals in Problem-Solving Pond series. In modeling, students use manipulatives, counters or drawings to model, or represent the mathematics of the story problem. Modeling is a critical skill because the visual representation allows students to see the situation presented in the problem. Max uses a special rhyming poem to teach the students how to use the modeling strategy to solve a variety of story or word problems. Max's unit includes:
