This simplified my presentation. It did the job! I would also like to see a couple of slides incorporated showing why we move the decimal place. Otherwise, a great tool!
Thanks! Imported this for my interactive whiteboard and it worked well. Only comment would be that I spent time presenting multiplying and dividing by multiples of 10 because of movement to smaller/larger units. Once kids see what is going on, then I tell them the shortcut of simply moving the decimal. perhaps a slide or two illustrating this concept would make it a more complete package. But...thanks bunches. I like your work!

Do you have a typo on slide 5? When talking about kilo- you say kilo is 1000 times the base unit and you go on to say it is 20 times larger than hecto. Shouldn't that be 10 times larger than hecto?
This is my eleventh year as an English/Language Arts teacher. I have worked with many different students from those who are at-risk to Advanced Placement. I've created several online courses and currently teach hybrid classes using Moodle.
