I have been a classroom teacher for over 40 years. My leadership roles have included Head of Mathematics and Director of Teaching and Learning. I am currently working as a Teacher Mentor, supporting teachers new to the profession. I am a software consultant to a multinational company developing interactive software for preschool students in developing nations - most recently in Timor Leste.

Experience
I have been a classroom teacher for over 40 years. My leadership roles have included Head of Mathematics and Director of Teaching and Learning. I am currently working as a Teacher Mentor, supporting teachers new to the profession. I am a software consultant to a multinational company developing interactive software for preschool students in developing nations - most recently in Timor Leste.
Teaching style
I have a passion for breaking down challenging mathematical concepts to smaller step-by-step skill development. This is supported with software that I develop specifically for these challenges. Much of my time is spent developing software for individual teachers to meet a need in their classrooms. The software is designed in such a way that there is a very small "learning curve" for using the software, because I am aware of the time pressures on teachers. I seek to share this software with other teachers.

I love music, and I have a band called "Scribbly Gum Bush Band" that runs bush dances to raise money for charity.
