Description

Your kids will love building a terrarium in a small group! Using an engineering design process, students will research important information that will help them to create a terrarium. This is a 6 day unit that could be longer or shorter depending on the amount of time you have for each session. The plans are written in an easy-to-follow workshop model format.

This project promotes cooperative learning & discussion while providing time for deeper thinking. All of our kids were engaged and excited throughout this entire project. If you teach the water cycle, then this may be the perfect project for your classroom.

Please ask any questions you may have. We are more than happy to help you!

I used this resource for my formal observation. We pretended we were engineers. The observation only included the ASK lesson but we did the imagine, plan, create, and redesign the days following. The students loved it. Hopefully I am encouraged some of them to become interested in Science. Thank you I couldn't have done it without your wonderful product!

This was a nice part of my third trimester science for third graders. It was a nice presentation and pages to help myself.

Used this with my class a couple of weeks ago. The students are amazed that the plants still look perfect without any water being added.
