She sells seashells by the seashore. This activity provides students with a chance to practice scientific communicating skills. Students choose a shell from a pile, make a drawing and write an observational description, then describe it to the group who try to identify the shell from the pile. This lesson includes teacher instructions, word bank, rubric for scoring, recording page printable, student examples, and an extended writing page.
