SIMPLIFYING / REDUCING FRACTIONS PACKET
Reducing fractions with variety!
Give your students some challenging work with these 3 printable worksheets on reducing fractions. They are Not for the beginner as these are quite difficult. Here is what you'll get:
Page 1 - students reduce fractions that are written out IN WORDS just to make them "think" a little more; example: "reduce sixteen twentieths"; (20 examples written out like this)
Page 2 - true or false reducing also written out IN WORDS; example: "does seven twenty firsts = two thirds, true or false"; (20 examples written out like this) this will make them think for sure!
Page 3 - Fraction Balloons; students see a set of balloons with fractions in them and a set of boxes with their reduced counterparts; they must match each balloon with the correct box; (15 examples like this)
Your download of 6 pages includes answers. Decorated for fun.
