This winter math activity packet is perfect for your Kindergarten or pre-K math centers. These 7 math centers are intended to work on numbers 1 to 100 and fit perfectly with your winter theme.

Here’s what’s included:

• How many?: count the snowflakes. Put the right number in the box. (numbers to 20)
• Race to 100: roll the dice and color your way to the #100 (numbers to 100)
• Snowflake counting: pick a number, put it in the box and add that many snowflakes. (numbers to 20)
• Make 10: count the snowflakes. Add more to make 10. (adding to 10)
• Number order: put the numbers in the right order (numbers to 100)
• Add one: count the snowflakes, add one, how many do you have? (numbers to 10)
• Adding: add up the snowflakes. How many do you have? (adding to 5)

These centers align to Common Core Standards:

K.CC.A.1 Count to 100 by ones and by tens.

K.CC.A.2 Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).

K.CC.A.3 Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).

K.CC.B.4c Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger.
K.CC.B.5 Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.

K.OA.A.2 Solve addition and subtraction word problems, and add and subtract within 10, e.g., by using objects or drawings to represent the problem.

K.OA.A.4 For any number from 1 to 9, find the number that makes 10 when added to the given number, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record the answer with a drawing or equation.

K.OA.A.5 Fluently add and subtract within 5.

Although the centers take a bit to print and put together, you will love them because once made up, you will have them for years to come. This resource is intended to be printed, laminated and put in baggies or containers for quick and easy set up.
