How are these snowmen different? How are they the same? Let's play a snowman sorting game! Create a fun winter math center that offers children lots of opportunities to practice sorting, graphing, and making patterns. Children will sort a set of colorful snowmen by various attributes, such as sweater color, hat type, and carrot nose. They will create graphs to reflect their sorts and interpret the results by "reading" their graphs. And, they can create an endless number of fun snowman patterns! All of their finished work can be stored and tracked in their individual file folders. Everything is included in this unit to set up a sustainable math learning center that includes accountability to keep children on task.
