Description
This packet contains eight activities. Seven of these activities correlate with the common core standards for Kindergarten.
Activity 1: Addition Roll, Say, Keep (K.OA.1-1 Addition)
Students play an addition version of Roll, Say, Keep.
Activity 2: Number Words 11-20
Students identify number words 11-20.
Activity 3: 10-20 Matching Cards (K.NBT.1 Compose and decompose numbers from 11 to 19 into ten ones and some further ones )
Students play a matching game with cards that have base ten pictures, numbers, and number words. A base ten skills sheet is included.
Activity 4: Counting by 5s and 10s to 100, Counting by 2s to 60 (K.CC.1 Count to 100 by 10s)
*Note: counting by 5s to 100 and by 2s to 60 are NOT common core standards for Kindergarten.
Students put number cards in order and then complete skills sheet. Color and black/white number cards are included.
Activity 5: 11-20 Tens Frame Write the Room (K.NBT.1 Compose and decompose numbers from 11 to 19 into ten ones and some further ones)
Students identify numbers 11-20 as they walk around the room and write the numbers on the recording sheet.
Activity 6: Race to 100/Race to 50 (K.OA.1-1 Addition)
Students play an Easter version of Race to 100 or Race to 50.
Activity 7: Shape Fill (K.G.2 Correctly name shapes)
Students roll a die to see who can fill in all their boxes first. There is a 3-D and 2-D version.
Activity 8: Comparing Numbers (K.CC.7 Compare two numbers between 1-10)
Students pick a card and write the numbers and corresponding sign on the skills sheet. There are three sets of cards (comparing numbers to10, comparing numbers to 20, and comparing numbers to 50). A set of cards labeled with > and < and the words greater than/less has been included.
