This file has a 51 question note-taking study guide and a 50 question test. All with answers. This goes along with the 1995 movie "Apollo 13" starring Tom Hanks. The movie is not included. The note-taking study guide is fill-in-the-blank. It corresponds to the movie so the students can answer the questions as they watch the movie. This is a powerpoint presentation that can be used as a genetics lab. Students are to pair together and complete the punnett squares for each characteristic given on the powerpoint slides. At the end of the lesson have the two partners draw a picture of there child if they were to be married. The students will use the data collected from their punnett squares to draw the picture of the child. This is the fun part that all children love to do. Used in 8th grade, but is good for any level.

This is a test that can be given over a period of ten class periods. The powerpoint is set up so that the student will learn ten symbols per day. The student will have to either give the symbol to the element name or name the element from the symbol on the presentation. I have used this for years in my class and it allows the students to learn the symbols at an easy pace. This powerpoint includes charts containing the element name, the element symbol, the proton number, the neutron number, the electron number, and isotopes.
