Description
This mini-lesson uses the classic works of Griffith, Avery, Hershey & Chase to highlight the role of DNA in heredity. After teacher explains the controversy over whether DNA or protein was the genetic material, students will break into small groups to summarize the procedures and results of the classic experiments. Students will then investigate the structure of DNA using the images on the second page. Includes simplified, easy to read summaries of the experiments.
