Description

How are these turkeys different? How are they the same? Let's play a turkey sorting game! Create a fun fall math center that offers children lots of opportunities to practice sorting, graphing, and making patterns. Children will sort a set of colorful pine cone turkeys by various attributes, such as feather color, feet color, and number of feathers. They will create graphs to reflect their sorts and interpret the results by "reading" their graphs. And they can create an endless number of fun turkey patterns! All of their finished work can be stored and tracked in their individual file folders. Everything is included in this unit to set up a sustainable math learning center that includes accountability to keep children on task.

Yes. And I love that with just one set of 12 turkey cards, students can sort and graph multiple ways making this a sustainable learning center over time.
