Hello! I have been an elementary teacher for twenty-one years. Most of my teaching years have been spent teaching a fourth grade and fifth grade blend class. I love every minute of it. I have also worked in a pre-kindergarten class for three years. Prior to 2016, I enjoyed creating my own materials. Then I had my own children and that became more challenging. My children are growing up and I am finding more free time to create. I am so excited to be back creating materials. Things have certainly evolved on TPT, but I am confident my materials are useful in the classroom. I find the things created by teachers are the best resources for students.

This template can be used for students to create a candy bar wrapper. I used as gift for someone special in my student's lives. They create the candy wrapper especailly for that person and the ingredients they listed were qualities they thought that person displayed.

Character Mapping - Adjectives
This character map may be used for multiple grade levels. Students are asked to choose one character from a story, novel, etc. Using adjectives they will describe the character using specific examples from the story, novel, etc. This can be used as a mini-lesson to practice character analysis. Number and Word of the Week Practice
This download includes a set of Scrabble tiles. Two different versions for both the number of the week and word of the week to be used at different points in the year. The objective is to make a new vocabulary word using scrabble tiles on the board.
Then the kids use the word to do vocabulary tasks--sentences, definitions, synonyms, etc. They use the value of each letter in the word to complete daily math activities.

These cards can be used to create a relay race in your classroom for Valentine's day. There are 16 cards. I split my classroom in half and have them compete against each other teams. You will need to purchase a few items (candy kisses, hearts, etc.) to complete the activity. I did it for the first time this year and it was HUGE hit.

Basic Fact Quick Tests Facts 2 through 12
These are basic fact multiplication tests with only one of each fact on for each quiz. I use these in two different capacities in my classroom. First of all I use them as 30 second timed tests. I also use them as center. I laminated each sheet and put them on ring. The kids then take the tests and self-correct their own answers. They like this responsibility.

Daily Checklist
I use this to enhance communication between home and school. My students use a planner as well this document daily. It is a checklist filled with things like silent read, practice basic facts, and other things for the week like field trip on Friday. I change this dates and the checks weekly as needed in my classroom. It has been a very effective tool and keeps everyone on the same track while building independent working habits.
