TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught at the middle school level for fourteen years as an intervention specialist. My areas of expertise include math, language arts and reading. Recently, I completed a Master's degree in Instructional Technology.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I tend to favor getting students moving and hands-on with the work.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

The best honor is getting surprised here and there by students nominating me for the Who's Who. Being an intervention specialist is usually a thankless job, so knowing that some students recall their experience with me and my teaching with fond memories is a wonderful thing.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

The University of Akron 93 - 98: Special Education (SLD) The University of Akron 09 - 11: Master's of Education (Instructional Technology)

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

In addition to teaching, I am a contributor to a photography website called I Heart Faces.
