This FREE lesson helps students to visually see what a ratio is by using a "Pet Shop" Scenario. Here the teacher has the students place various animal pictures into their pretend pet shop. The students have to come up with different ratios based upon what the teacher has given them to find. This is a very fun hands-on group lesson and has helped my students see how to write ratios. This is the lesson plan that goes with the FREE video entitled "Introduction to the Magic One". In this FREE Betta Math resource, students apply their knowledge of coordinates to navigate and locate points of places in Scarytown.
