This teacher directed hands-on activity was created to provide students with a concrete way to practice decomposing numbers in multiplication.
This packet uses the first factor as the number to be decomposed. Students are familiar with forming 3 groups of 5 in multiplication and by decomposing the first number, the groups of 5 can remain as groups of 5 when using the rods.
This product contains only the cards for decomposing the first factor.
Students will have fun getting up and moving around for Pictograph Scavenger Hunt!
There are 7 groups of pictographs with 4 different graphs within a group for a total of 28 graphs.
Each group is color coded and the graphs are numbered 1-28.
Place the graphs around the room and the students can travel from
graph to graph writing their answers on the recording sheet.
Laminate the cards for durability so they can be used each year.

Descriptive Writing Activity- Halloween: Students will have fun decorating pumpkins and then writing a short descriptive paragraph about the pumpkin. The students can share their paragraphs and the class can try to guess the pumpkin.
This makes a great hallway display!
Students can sort 32 Thanksgiving themed cards into singular and plural nouns. A recording sheet is provided.
