All Things Third Grade

Here's a cute way for your students to create their own Tall Tale! They could write a modern day tall tale about themselves, or another version of a traditional tall tale character. Just print the template and have extra copies of the last slide for those REALLY TALL stories! Assign in Google Classroom to make it a digital experience.

This is my interpretation of the reader's response notebook that is mentioned in the Fountas and Pinnell reading mini-lessons. This fun activity can be used to encourage critical thinking during the first few weeks of school. It uses easily gathered items and can be done as a first homework assignment of the year.
