Excelling in Second

This project is made with cotton balls. Students use cotton balls to create four different types of clouds. The types of clouds are stratus, cirrus, cumulus, and nimbus. Students then label them and put them in correct altitude order. A rubric is provided!

This journal requires students to look up a word in the dictionary, write the definition, use it in a sentence, and draw a picture of it. I use this daily in my classroom. Students are required to know 5 high frequency words for their spelling test including their spelling words. This is a water cycle mobile. Students draw each stage of the water cycle. They then attach a description to each stage. I have included boxes with each stage already filled in and boxes without the stages written in. Students attach the stages to a paper plate. A simple rubric is provided.
