I taught Kindergarten for 14 years, but my teaching journey actually began in 2003 in a 6th grade classroom teaching English and Reading. God knew what he was doing when he encouraged me to make the huge jump to kindergarten, and I loved spending my days in the exciting world of 5 year olds! I am thrilled to say I am now a reading and math intervention teacher, and I have enjoyed helping many teachers grow in their own education journey with these classroom resources.
I am very excited that I get this opportunity to share the incredible resources that make my Kindergarten classroom so successful. It is a joy to my heart and such an encouragement when I hear that I have helped other kiddos out there too!

Quiet Signal, STOP Poster Classroom Management
How do you get the attention of 20+ little 5 year olds who are busy at work?? Our Principal uses a raised hand for the building wide quiet signal. Everyone is Famous, Autograph Book
One of my favorite last day of school activities is our Everyone is Famous, Autograph Books. We talk about the future and what some of them might be when they grow up.
Life Touch comes every fall to take our individual pictures, and they always give the teachers a little set of "sticker" pictures of the kids for classroom use. Large Letter and Sound Flash Cards (Special Order - Canada)
(Special Order - Canada request w/ French letter/sound combinations) These large flash cards are whole sheets (8 1/2 x 11). They include the following: A-Z : uppercase, a-z : lowercase, vowel teams, digraphs, trigraphs, and other letter combinations. I use these flash cards for many activities in my classroom. Whole Group Answer Cards
These cards can be used for various activities: whole group or small group. Included in this set are Yes/No, True/False, Fact/Opinion, and ./? cards.
I have these cards printed on 4 different colors of paper, and I like using them during whole group instruction because it keeps all of the students accountable. With a few questions, I can do a quick check for topic understanding.

Teaching style
VERY MUSICAL!!! I was once asked...."How often do you sing down there?" My answer....."All the time!" I love music and movement, so we are up and actively learning every minute we can.
