Fun in ECSE

This is a fun activity to incorporate into a farm theme! Students will love painting the pig with oatmeal, sand, and brown paint. A great sensory experience!

Fun for whole group, small group or circle time. Students will say the rhyme, draw out a shape and identify it.

Using pom poms, mini erasers or another small manipulative of your choice have students use tongs to place the items in circles or have them count out the penguins 1-10.

This is great for centers, small group, extra practice, early finishers, or morning work. An emergent reader and shape tracing book. Great for the beginning of the year.

Directions: Print on cardstock and laminate. Cut out large circle. Cut out small shape circles and attach to clothespins. Students will match the shapes to the correct items.

Students will read the rhyme, figure out the color that rhymes, and color the picture that rhyming color.

Students will create the school tools with dough or clay. Great for fine motor practice and for a beginning of the school year activity! Use at centers, small group, extra practice, early finishers, work boxes, or morning work!

Directions: Print the book out. Take pictures of students in their new school, classrooms and with teachers. Place the pictures in the book. Read the book to the child in preparation for kindergarten.
