This pack includes 24 unique cards (or 12 compound word pairs). Included I suggest two card games that you could do with these cards. They are just a spin on the traditional card game "Memory" and "Old Maid" but with compound words. Each card has a small picture of the compound word that the student will be looking for so they know their match. The cards come in both a colored version and a black and white version.
This has been such a helpful resource to use in my classroom. It helps your students who constantly need help spelling (the same word). What I love about it is that I can put it in their dictionaries once and they always have it as a resource to use during their writing if they want to know how to spelling something.

I created these hoping to having something simple for teachers, parents, and students to understand. I stayed very true to the standards and there is a conventions piece included in here however it's meant more as a check rather than grade. I have included a rubric for the conventions though if it's something you want as a separate grade. These rubrics focus on the three main second grade writing standards: opinion, informative/explanatory, and narratives.

This is a great resource to meet the first grade standard 1.NBT.1 where they must be able to count to 120. It is a no cut booklet that students can complete.
This was my solution for my second graders to test them on the standard 2.NBT.2 (I can count within 1,000 by 1's, 5's, 10's, and 100's). I do 4 check in's per year so I have split the numbers up because let's face it... counting to 1,000 is a lot to prove! I check in every quarter but that can be up to you.
There is blank charts they can fill in or assessment sheets. It also includes a rubric to grade students on their progress. Check out the preview for a better idea too!
