I believe in using differentiated instruction and an inquiry-based approach to learning to deepen comprehension and analytical thinking skills. I strive to provide each student access to the content and to challenge each student at an appropriate level. To ensure each student can be successful, I incorporate scaffolding and specific adaptations into each lesson plan. I create language objectives as well as content objectives for every lesson I teach. My teaching philosophy builds upon my experience in the business world; I am committed to using data from formative assessments to inform my instruction to best meet the needs of every student. I choose to teach at international schools because I believe in providing students with the global knowledge and skills necessary in today's interconnected world. By teaching in an international context, I infuse my instruction with the richness of cultural diversity and global competency.
