Students can use this as an "I'm done! Now what?!" This can be done independently. Students use the number letter-number correspondence to be the detective and crack the code! They can make their own code using their name and more on the back!

Often times we as teachers wonder how effective our classroom website is with our families. This document is a survey I send home mid-year to get formative input. With their responses, I'm able to change the website to better serve the families' needs.

This can be used during Daily 5 Word Work or Literacy Centers. Students will need one die. Roll the dice! If they roll a: 1-find a word with 1 vowel-1 point 2-find a word with 2 vowels-2 points 3-find a word with 3 letters-3 points 4-find a word with 4 letters-4 points 5-find a word with 5 letters-5 points 6-find a word with 6 letters-6 points Record the word on your sheet!

I have researched and used the books and videos on this list for the multiple curriculum areas. There are books and videos on this list for everything from animal habitats in science to being a good friend during character education. I keep this handy in my plan book year 'round so I always have a book or video prepared for my class.

Students can use this during the Daily 5 or during Literacy Centers. They can work independently or with a partner. They will look at words from the Word Wall, count how many letters it has, and write that word under the corresponding column heading.

Cut first page in half to use for two different children. Students will use the second page, which has a word bank for students to choose from to appropriately describe a snowman. They will choose one and write it in their own poem.

Students are able to use this Book Bingo card over the course of reading independently. Once they read a book, they check their Book Bingo card and cross of a square if it relates to the book they read. For example, if a student read If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff, he or she would then cross out one of the squares, either: "I read a book about fiction," "I read a book about pets,"or "I read an animal story." When they get a Bingo (or a black-out), the students turn in their Book
