About the store
I am the creator of Escape_Place. To begin, I was a teacher’s assistant for 7 years, where I worked one-to-one with ELL students. I moved onto substitute teaching for several school districts. Both, in high income and low income communities. Soon after that, I was a full-time educator in a charter school. I taught multiple years in the charter school system. This experience was the most revealing and fulfilling work that I was blessed to experience. After several years, I changed from working with a charter school to one of the school districts in the area. Overall, I have 9 years of teaching experience. I have worked with students from K-5 grade levels. I do not plan on leaving the profession any time soon.

Spring Time Bunny Growth

Have your students reflect on their growth as we are near the end of the school year. The project has a section that requires students to think about the upcoming months as well. They can reflect, write, and color their project. Kids and teachers love the cute bunny as they see this on the bulletin board. The first words are always "awwww." This project is larger than the typical project since it uses (3) 8.5x11 sheets.

Teaching style

My teaching style is heavily focused on reading. I want my students to love to read and analyze ideas that the author’s try to convey. I incorporate technology into my lessons in any way I find possible. I find that technology is the step to making this profession much more easier and captivating. I love including my students in discussions and having them share their points of view. I believe that it is necessary to connect students with the text in order for them to really comprehend the text. I dedicate time to differentiate and meet with students.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I enjoy providing my students with what they need. I love to see my students confide and understand that I am there for them at all times. They know that I am reliable and ready to provide them a safe learning environment.

My own education history

I recently earned a masters degree in Curriculum Instruction and Leadership. My bachelor's degree and Associate’s degree is in Liberal Studies.
