I have taught Kindergarten for 20 years in the same school that my children attended. I have been married for 46 years. We have 2 daughters who are teachers as well. We have 4 beautiful grandchildren. Our school recently finished LETRS training.

Teaching style

I have a "Hands-On" approach with Kindergarten children. I believe in challenging my children each day and holding them to a higher level. I have high expectations for my Kindergarten children. I believe learning should be fun and engaging.

I graduated college with a 4.0 grade point average. My classroom was the Math Studio classroom this year for Kindergarten teachers in my district. Literacy Studio for Kindergarten and First Grade 2014. West Buncombe Teacher Of the Year 2015-16.

I graduated from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina with a Birth-Kindergarten license. I am also certified to teach K-6.
