There are three quizzes in this file. The first set 16 questions are just to see if the student has read the book. The multiple-choice answers are obvious but only to those that have read the book. The second set of questions are higher-level, open ended, what-if questions that have no right or wrong answers. The third set are open-ended questions also but require some inferencing.

The movie version of The Giver followed the book in most areas. Because of this some students might be tempted to just see the movie and not read the book.
