About the store

Experience

I taught middle school for over 25 years and have specialized in Mathematics, specifically 6th Grade Math and Pre-Algebra. I have been a district Math Mentor Teacher, the Mathematics Department Chairman numerous times, and have presented at several local and regional mathematics conferences.

Teaching style

I always try to find the balance between learning the prescribed mathematical standards and putting them into practice in meaningful, hand-on activities. Students need to know the grade-level skills, but I also want them to experience mathematics in a personal, powerful, experiential way. My math lesson, projects, and games are designed to promote these meaningful student interactions with mathematics.
