Here is a great activity that can be used as an extra activity during class time, stations, or centers. Students spin the spinner, move that many spaces, and then sound out or read the word. You can make the game more difficult by requiring students to read the word and use it in a sentence.
Students have a blast with this silly word sort. This is a great activity to use as a station or center. Students sound out and read each word. They sort the words into two categories, Earth words which are real words we use on Earth or Mars words that are nonsense words.
This is a game for students to practice their math facts. You can time the class as they play I have, Who has so they can see their progress as they better memorize the facts. The student with the star card starts the game by reading the card. Students call out the answer that they have and then read the next math fact. This game keeps the whole class involved because they have to calculate each fact to see if they have the answer.
This is a fun activity to improve morale at work during the month of October! Includes Boo sign to hang outside your door and directions for everyone. Print out enough Boo signs for everyone in your school. I usually start 2 Boo treats going to get through everyone at our school, we have about 50 staff members.
